It originates from the global reference study “The Brogotá - Access and Benefit-Sharing Around the World: Brazilian Law in Contrast with International Regulations" published at the ABS Clearing House Mechanism website.

  • The platform was created to help all kind of users, such as companies, individuals, NGO's (non-governmental organizations), researchers, universities, associations and others interested in studying or managing ABS (Access and Benefit-Sharing) legal frameworks.

  • The automated platform features an integrated search system including a database of ABS Legislation and related information from 198 countries. Depending on the access level, the user can access different features, such as direct access to links to all related documentation, legislation, authorities' websites, and personalized orientation, as well as other detailed and relevant information. It was conducted from secondary sources, GSS team's experiences, contact to governments, and other reliable and updated sources.

  • Unlike other platforms on ABS, Brogota Platform content does not come from direct upload from countries' own governments, National Focal Points and others. The collected information is selected, interpreted, veried and complemented by GSS team, composed of biodiversity compliance experts, according to their vast knowledge and experience on the matter
